I really liked my reading experience in June. Not only did I get to reread a few books, I also got to a couple of genres I typically read less of on an average basis. One of the best highlights was beginning an impromptu reread of the Throne of Glass series with one of my book besties!! Completely unplanned and 100% worth it! April was an interesting month! From traveling to and fro, starting fertility treatments, and feeling a little slumpy and stretched thin generally to finding joy in baking and season 2 of Bridgerton, I feel like I barely read a wink! But I'm currently still obsessing over the world of Daughter of Smoke and Bone (through book 2!) and these 4 rom-coms tooootally pulled me through my slumpiness and brought me so much joy!

The last month or so, I’ve really been leaning hard into those things that are bringing me pure joy and just all around happiness, even that quiet happiness, that complete contentedness, despite what life is throwing at me. That’s where I’ve been thriving most especially of late and where I definitely want to stay. Here are 5 things that are bringing me joy lately.

March has to be my favorite reading month so far this year! Even though my ratings varied, every story was unique and individual, and I can still distinctly remember details and plotlines of every one (including the ones that didn’t really resonate with me). I also got to read several of my favorite genres which I'm beginning to notice really helps! Here are all the books I read in March 2022.

February was the month of slowly destroying my psyche with intense romances and strange synchronies across all the books I read lol. I swear though - basic rom-coms may just not cut it anymore! Check out the 8 books I read this February.

Lately I’ve been trying out some new reading apps and one of them is Literal Club! It's a brand new invite-only social book platform that allows you to track your reading and creatively review your latest favorite. It’s a lot like Goodreads but with some more exciting features! I really love it. So, let me introduce you to Literal Club!

What a great start to this new Persian-inspired fantasy series! There’s Jinn, warring kingdoms, a forbidden love story, royalty in hiding, and prophesies, oh my. So much goodness, and of course, Tahereh’s signature focus on mental health awareness. Let’s review This Woven Kingdom by Tahereh Mafi!

Check out K.A. Tucker’s latest book in the Wild Series (The Simple Wild). This story is about second chances and healing - moving on and finding peace. It does speak to some unimaginable tragedies. There’s grief and emotional trauma, but there’s also closure, growth, and healing. Ultimately, this is Marie’s love story and she’s well overdue for it! Let’s review Running Wild by K.A. Tucker

I read so many good books in 2021! Amongst all the favorites, I discovered 5 that were not only my favorite, but their authors became classified as “auto-buy” for me! I feel like that’s kind of a big deal. From a cozy cultural thriller and supernatural mystery to a dystopian, end of the world fantasy, a Rapunzel reimagining, and a paranormal, romantasy rom-com series, here are 5 of my favorite reads from 2021 and their authors who are now on auto-buy for me.
